Eighth Quadrennial Convention of Holy Name Men of North America, Buffalo NY, 1963-2000, 1963.

The bulk of this collection is comprised of the Welcoming Packet of the 8th Quadrennial Convention of the Holy Name Men of North America, a convention in Buffalo August 21 - 25, 1963 at the Statler Hilton Hotel. This convention was sponsored by the Dominican Order, a Catholic order founded in the 1200's and approved by Pope Honorius III. The theme of the convention was "The Holy Name and Apostolic Action". Included are various media: brochure, badge, calendars, event listings, a baggage ticket, hymns and various reception and award programs. Included in this collection but outside the scope of the Convention materials are: 75th Anniversary Program for St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church and Parish, 1983; 18 color photographs and one proof sheet of bison from the "Herd about Buffalo" Project, 2000.
